Below Resistance

With all eyes on Broadcom’s earnings release scheduled for Wednesday, other markets in the sector are giving clues we may be near a reversal (not advice not a recommendation).

One of those, is Texas Instruments.

As can be seen, TXN has failed to move above resistance.

The question for Monday; will TXN quietly retrace upward to test the underside?

A Generational Top?

It almost goes without saying, market events are taking place on a massive scale.

Ed Dowd, has said repeatedly in his interviews:

‘When it’s all said and done, I expect Nvidia to be down 80% to 90%’ (not advice not a recommendation).

However, there are others besides Nvidia, with significant downside potential.

Case in point, Texas Instruments.

There’ve been several recent updates on TXN. The most significant one, linked here.

It’s possible, right now, today, is a test of the all-time highs (not advice, not a recommendation).

As the February update shows, it’s been 26-years since the other massive upward spike in Force Index.

Weak Retrace

Yesterday, Texas Instruments broke decisively lower.

Today, it’s attempting to retrace and test that break.

At this juncture, a weak 23.6%, is all TXN can produce (not advice, not a recommendation).

Let’s not forget, NVDA posts earnings today, after the bell.

Once TXN pushed past resistance, upward net distance has slowed.

Once, in a Generation

Michael Bordenaro’s latest update, had this in the comment section (paraphrasing):

‘It’s likely, few people realize how far this is going to go, and how long it’s going to last.’

With that said, we’ll look at a once-in-a-generation event, Texas Instruments.

Not since the height of the dot-com mania, has there been a repeat of the indicator shown below.

Two massive Force Index spikes, a generation apart.

In the dotcom mania, the spike was not the top; that came a month later.

For the A.I. mania, TXN posted its spike last month (not advice, not a recommendation).

Texas Instruments TXN, released earnings after the bell yesterday.

Today, before the open, it’s trading at 209 – 210, just above the resistance levels of last August.

That pre-market level is also (potentially) closing the gap of July 23rd.

Texas Instruments … Implodes

The ‘Go-Forward’, Model?

Is this how it’s going to be when the entire SOXX, A.I. bubble, implodes?

One gap-down, after another?

TXN, earnings, link here, looks benign.

Certainly not anything seen as a material cause for an 11% crash, overnight.

‘Weaker than expected’, does not a forecast, make. Price action could have easily ‘shrugged off’ the ‘weaker than expected’. 🙂

The reality, TXN is down hard with SOXX, down with it.

The probability of reversal for the SOXX, was in price action itself; covered here and here:

This is the crux of Wyckoff analysis.

Semiconductors SOXX, Daily

From the 7/15 high, to 7/21, high, was Fibonacci 5-Days.

Stop on short position SOXX-25-07, has been lowered from 250.19, to 246.50 (not advice, not a recommendation).
